We are proud to announce that Firefighters Mike Hardy and Megan Hutchins have obtained their 150 hour certification and we commemorated this achievement with a badge pinning ceremony. Each Firefighter selected a family member to pin their badge on, previous to this they were officially sworn in. Join us in appreciation for all the hard work that these firefighters have put in to obtain this certification.

We are excited to announce the addition of 2 new recruits! Jesse Francis and Tyler Berry have been approved by the Board of Trustees as Firefighter recruits.

Jr. Firefighter Caleb Burns has turned 18! This means he is no longer eligible for the Jr. FF Program, he has submitted his application as a Firefighter Recruit and was approved. Caleb will be going out on Leave soon as he is heading to Basic training with the United States Marine Corps.

We would like to welcome Justin Adams to the ranks of the NENFD! Justin comes to us from Eastern Ky where he began work on his basic 20 and his 150 hour certification.

Just a reminder that the National Fire Protection Administration (NFPA) has updated the Standard for Professional Qualifications NFPA 1001.  This standard gives the minimum qualifications for FF 1 and FF 2.  With this standard being released, the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) requires us to update our test banks and skill sheets.  With this change, the Kentucky Fire Commission Accredited Certification office will test to the NFPA 1001, 2019 edition...
